About Brightech
Brightech is a Los Angeles lighting company, founded in 2013, that designs its fixtures in-house in LA and produces them through ISO-certified, family-run factories in Southern China that the company says it has personally visited. The catalog spans floor lamps, table lamps, vanity lighting, portable rechargeable lamps, and outdoor solar string lights, with an emphasis on designer-style fixtures at accessible prices rather than one narrow product type.
Brightech's solar string lights have drawn attention from independent outlets beyond its own marketing: Consumer Reports included the Brightech Pro Solar Powered Outdoor String Lights in its tested lineup of seven competing solar string light sets, and Bob Vila's hands-on review scored the Ambience Pro line 8.9/10, calling out the heavy-duty cable, threaded-base S14 bulbs, and weatherproof, shatterproof build. The company backs its catalog with a 5-year limited warranty, longer than what most solar lighting brands offer.

Why we recognized Brightech
The DIYRated Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose products consistently stand out in our hands-on category reviews. Brightech earned it on the strength of the products below, evaluated the same way every product on this site is: bought, put to work on real jobs, and judged on merit.
Brightech products we rated highly
Brightech Ambience Pro Solar Powered Outdoor String Lights, 27 ft Commercial Grade Waterproof Edison Patio Lights, Shatterproof LED, 12 Bulbs, Soft White
Edison-style S14 LED filament bulbs give a warm 2700K glow closer to real incandescent string lights than the cool-white LEDs most solar sets use, and the commercial-grade wire and shatterproof bulbs are built to survive multiple outdoor seasons. The solar panel detaches from the string, so it can sit in full sun while the lights themselves hang in a shaded pergola or patio. It carries 26,000+ reviews at 4.5 stars on Amazon, and Bob Vila's independent review praised the same heavy-duty cable and threaded-base bulb design in hands-on testing.
