About Bionic Steel
Bionic Steel makes segmented 304 stainless steel garden hoses, sold directly through its own site and through major retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Home Depot, in lengths from 25 to 100 feet. The core idea behind the line, a puncture-proof steel body with no inner liner to crimp, has been demonstrated on local TV consumer-testing segments such as Click2Houston's product review series.
A separate Bionic Steel Pro line, carried by retailers like Home Depot, swaps in brass end fittings in place of the crush-resistant stainless fittings used on the standard hoses. Because the segmented steel design carries no bulky reinforced liner, even the 100-foot hose we tested stayed close to 3 lbs, dramatically lighter than a comparable rubber hose of the same length.

What Bionic Steel makes
Bionic Steel's range runs wider than the products we review. The lines we know best from our own testing are marked with a star:
25 ft Stainless Steel Hose
The shortest length in the standard lineup, aimed at small yards and container gardens.
50 ft Stainless Steel Hose
The brand's mid-size standard option for typical suburban lots.
75 ft Stainless Steel Hose
A lighter, more affordable step up for medium-to-large yards; one of the two lengths in our own testing. — featured on DIYRated
100 ft Stainless Steel Hose
The longest standard hose, built for big lots and long equipment runs; the other length in our own testing. — featured on DIYRated
Bionic Steel Pro (brass-fitted)
A heavier-duty line sold through select retailers with brass end fittings instead of stainless.
Why we recognized Bionic Steel
The DIYRated Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose products consistently stand out in our hands-on category reviews. Bionic Steel earned it on the strength of the products below, evaluated the same way every product on this site is: bought, put to work on real jobs, and judged on merit.
Bionic Steel products we rated highly
Bionic Steel 100 Ft Metal Garden Hose
In our testing, the segmented 304 stainless steel body proved impossible to kink since there is no inner liner to crimp, and at roughly 3 lbs the 100-foot length stayed light enough to drag across a large yard without the strain of a comparable rubber hose. It also shrugged off dog teeth, mower wheels, and gravel in our review, the kind of abuse that shreds conventional hoses.

Bionic Steel 75 Ft Garden Hose 304 Stainless Steel
The same kink-proof segmented stainless design as the 100-foot model, packaged at under 2.5 lbs, the lightest 75-foot hose we tested. It held up to mower wheels and foot traffic in our review and is backed by roughly 38,700 pooled owner reviews on the ASIN we tracked.
