About Husqvarna
Husqvarna traces back to a Swedish rifle factory founded in 1689, making it one of the oldest continuously operating manufacturers in the world. The company pivoted through sewing machines and bicycles before becoming a dedicated outdoor power equipment maker, and it now builds chainsaws, robotic mowers, brushcutters, and string trimmers for homeowners and professionals in more than 100 countries. Husqvarna Group is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.
In our testing, the Husqvarna 130L gas string trimmer stood out for exactly the reason gas trimmers still earn a place on a lot: a 28cc 2-cycle engine with Smart Start and an Air Purge bulb that clears the carburetor before a cold start, cutting the won't-start problem that plagues cheap gas trimmers. Its 18-inch cutting swath is the widest of any trimmer we reviewed, and it carries the deepest review record of any gas model we checked at over 4,800 ratings on Amazon.

Why we recognized Husqvarna
The DIYRated Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose products consistently stand out in our hands-on category reviews. Husqvarna earned it on the strength of the products below, evaluated the same way every product on this site is: bought, put to work on real jobs, and judged on merit.
