About SPT
SPT (Sunpentown) was founded in 1985 in Keelung, Taiwan as Sunpentown Electric Company, and expanded internationally in 1993 as Sunpentown International, which is now headquartered in City of Industry, California. The company's first product was an induction cooker, and it grew into one of the largest producers of induction cooktops worldwide, alongside a broad small-appliance lineup that spans rice cookers (the long-running Mr. Rice line), humidifiers, and refrigeration appliances.
On DIYRated, we've reviewed three SPT portable dishwashers: the SD-9263SS and SD-9263SSC, matching all-stainless-steel 18-inch rolling units with eight place settings and six wash cycles each, and the SD-6513WA, the only 24-inch portable dishwasher we found still sold new on Amazon, with ten place settings and Energy Star certification. All three ship with a quick-connect faucet adapter, and the stainless steel body and tub construction is what keeps SPT's portables in service while plastic-tubbed rivals go brittle. The SD-9263SS carries the deepest owner-review history, 281 reviews, of any full-size portable dishwasher we found still sold new on Amazon.

Why we recognized SPT
The DIYRated Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose products consistently stand out in our hands-on category reviews. SPT earned it on the strength of the products below, evaluated the same way every product on this site is: bought, put to work on real jobs, and judged on merit.
SPT products we rated highly
SPT SD-9263SS 18-Inch Portable Dishwasher
In our testing, the SD-9263SS drew 281 owner reviews, roughly five times the depth of any other full-size portable dishwasher we found still sold new on Amazon. Its all-stainless steel body and tub, eight place settings, and six wash cycles (including a 90-minute heavy program and a rapid cycle) held up well, and the included quick-connect faucet adapter with a 1-to-24-hour delay timer let it run overnight or off-peak.

SPT SD-9263SSC 18-Inch Portable Dishwasher
The SD-9263SSC is the same all-stainless 18-inch design as the SD-9263SS, sold and shipped directly by Amazon rather than a third-party seller, a fulfillment path that matters on a 114-pound freight appliance if it arrives damaged. It runs the same six cycles, including a 90-minute heavy wash and a rapid cycle, and adds a rinse aid reminder and touch controls.

SPT SD-6513WA 24-Inch Portable Dishwasher
The SD-6513WA is the only 24-inch portable dishwasher we found still sold new on Amazon, and its ten place settings are the largest capacity in our roundup, close to a real built-in load. It is Energy Star certified with a stainless interior and six wash cycles, and it ships with both a drain hose and faucet adapter included.
