About Hamilton Beach
Hamilton Beach has been building small household appliances since 1910, when inventor Frederick Osius founded the company in Racine, Wisconsin, naming it for two of his early employees, Louis Hamilton and Chester Beach. Today the company is headquartered in Glen Allen, Virginia, as Hamilton Beach Brands Holding Company (NYSE: HBB), a publicly traded designer, marketer, and distributor of small electric household and specialty housewares appliances, alongside sibling consumer brands Proctor Silex and Weston and a commercial division serving restaurants, bars, and hotels.
The brand's home-appliance lineup runs well beyond kitchen countertops. On DIYRated, we've reviewed the Hamilton Beach HWD27, a compact all-in-one washer and dryer combo built for apartments and small spaces without external venting. It ships and sells directly from Amazon.com with Prime, the only combo in our roundup to do so, and packs 16 wash cycles and 4 dry settings into a 2.7-cubic-foot ventless drum that runs on a standard household outlet, with warranty claims routed through Hamilton Beach's own domestic support network rather than an overseas call center.
