About Waste King
Waste King is a garbage disposal brand of Anaheim Manufacturing Company (AMC), which has built food waste disposers for more than 50 years out of Anaheim, California. Moen, part of Fortune Brands Innovations, acquired AMC on December 19, 2014, and AMC continues to manufacture under three labels from that base: Waste King for residential kitchens, Whirlaway for high-turnover commercial and multifamily properties, and a line of hot water dispenser systems that install alongside a disposal at the kitchen sink.
The residential lineup spans continuous-feed and batch-feed disposals from entry-level motors up through full 1 HP units, plus the air switches, sink flanges, and mounting hardware that go with an install. Waste King backs several of its models with warranties running up to 20 years, among the longest terms we found in the garbage disposal category, and the two disposals we tested each carry review counts in the thousands with ratings holding at 4.4 stars and above.

Why we recognized Waste King
The DIYRated Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose products consistently stand out in our hands-on category reviews. Waste King earned it on the strength of the products below, evaluated the same way every product on this site is: bought, put to work on real jobs, and judged on merit.
