About Gladiator
Gladiator is a garage-organization brand owned by Whirlpool Corporation, launched in 2003 with a nationwide retail push through Lowe's and Sears before expanding into Home Depot, Ace Hardware, and Amazon. The line covers a full garage system rather than a single product: welded and ready-to-assemble cabinets, wall-mounted GearWall slatwall panels and GearTrack channel rails, Heavy Duty and EZ Connect shelving, adjustable-height workbenches, ceiling-mounted overhead racks, and garage-rated appliances. Gladiator backs its products with a Limited Lifetime or 10-year Limited warranty and states that products go through rigorous testing before release.
The GearTrack and GearWall wall systems have drawn independent, hands-on coverage outside Gladiator's own marketing. Garage Transformed, a home-organization review site whose founder has been featured on BobVila.com, ran a multi-year test of both systems and reported the load ratings, 75 lbs per linear foot on GearTrack and 50 lbs per square foot on GearWall, held up over years of real use, and compared the systems favorably against Rubbermaid FastTrack and Wall Control's metal pegboard. In our own testing, the GearTrack channel's tool-free hook mount held its position under load without the hook creeping down the rail.
