About Moen
Moen traces back to 1937, when mechanical engineer Alfred M. Moen scalded his hands under a conventional two-handled faucet and set out to design a single-handle mixing faucet instead. The company sold its first unit in San Francisco in late 1947. What started as part of Seattle's Ravenna Metal Products moved to Elyria, Ohio in 1956 after acquisition by Standard Screw Co. (later Stanadyne), and Moen is now headquartered in North Olmsted, Ohio, operating as a brand of Fortune Brands Innovations (NYSE: FBIN).
That single-handle-faucet lineage still runs through the lineup we've tested for DIYRated: kitchen and bathroom faucets, shower heads, and garbage disposals, all carrying Moen's Limited Lifetime Warranty on finish and mechanical components. Several of the faucets we reviewed are WaterSense-certified under the EPA program, meaning they use at least 20% less water than the federal baseline without giving up flow. Moen also holds a majority stake in Flo Technologies, the smart water monitoring company behind Flo by Moen, which it began partnering with in 2019.

Why we recognized Moen
The DIYRated Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose products consistently stand out in our hands-on category reviews. Moen earned it on the strength of the products below, evaluated the same way every product on this site is: bought, put to work on real jobs, and judged on merit.
Moen products we rated highly
Moen Karis Spot Resist Brushed Nickel Single-Hole Bathroom Faucet
A top pick for a modern single-hole vanity in our testing: the Spot Resist Brushed Nickel finish held up against fingerprints and water spots days after the last wipedown, and Amazon's Choice status with more than 900 verified reviews at 4.7 stars gave it the deepest trust signal of any single-hole faucet we reviewed. Moen Essie Matte Black Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Soap Dispenser
