About Bosch
Bosch traces back to 1886, when engineer Robert Bosch founded a "Workshop for Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering" in Stuttgart, Germany. The company began diversifying into household appliances and do-it-yourself power tools in the 1950s, and today the Power Tools Division of the Bosch Group is one of the largest manufacturers of power tools and power tool accessories worldwide, alongside the Bosch home-appliance lines that include the dishwasher we've reviewed. In North America, Robert Bosch Tool Corporation was formed in 2003 by combining the company's power tool and power tool accessory divisions into a single organization.
That breadth shows up across the categories we've tested for DIYRated: a compact 18V drill/driver, two corded jigsaws, a glide-style miter saw, and a jobsite table saw, plus a 300 Series dishwasher built around Bosch's condensation-drying system. Bosch backs its 18V cordless tools and chargers with a 5-year limited warranty and its 18V batteries with a 3-year warranty, with no registration required to activate the extended coverage. Pro Tool Reviews, an independent trade publication, has put Bosch's 18V platform through extensive hands-on testing and consistently notes the lineup's ergonomics and the long shelf life of its batteries, qualities that matched what we found putting the same tools to work on real jobs.

Why we recognized Bosch
The DIYRated Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose products consistently stand out in our hands-on category reviews. Bosch earned it on the strength of the products below, evaluated the same way every product on this site is: bought, put to work on real jobs, and judged on merit.
Bosch products we rated highly
Bosch GSR18V-400B22 18V Compact Brushless Drill/Driver Kit
The lightest full-featured brushless drill in our roundup at under 2 pounds with the battery installed, built around an all-metal 1/2-inch chuck that handles aggressive bit changes without wearing loose. Twenty clutch settings give precise torque control for sensitive fasteners in drywall and cabinetry, and it carries 4.8 stars across nearly 300 reviews.

Bosch 300 Series SHX53CM5N
PureDry condensation drying in the stainless tall tub remains the strongest drying system we've reviewed on glass and ceramic, with no heating element to burn out over time. It carries 89 verified reviews at 4.4 stars, and in our own installs it's the brand we've seen the lowest failure rate on, backed by a focused five-cycle wash system with a dedicated sanitize option.

Bosch JS470E 7-Amp Top-Handle Corded Jigsaw
The lightest saw in our jigsaw lineup at 3.0 pounds, which cuts fatigue on long overhead and vertical cuts, paired with a 7-amp motor and Constant Response circuitry that holds blade speed steady pushing through oak. A variable speed dial from 500 to 3,100 SPM and a lock-on button for extended straight cuts back up more than 1,400 reviews at 4.8 stars.

Bosch JS572EBK 7.2-Amp Barrel-Grip Corded Jigsaw
A barrel-grip design that puts your hand directly over the blade, which we found gives noticeably more control on freehand curves and countertop cutouts than a top-handle saw. Precision Control II's dual-roller blade guide nearly eliminates blade deflection for square, splinter-free edges, and it ships with three blades, an integrated LED, and a carrying case.

Bosch CM10GD 10-Inch Dual-Bevel Glide Miter Saw
The patented Axial-Glide system is the smoothest sliding mechanism we've tested and needs zero wall clearance behind the saw, a real advantage in a tight garage or basement shop. Dust collection captured up to 90 percent of debris when hooked to a shop vacuum in our testing, the best result in this roundup, and wide integrated table extensions gave 60 percent more material support than a standard miter saw.

Bosch GTS15-10 10 Inch Portable Jobsite Table Saw with Gravity-Rise Stand
The Gravity-Rise stand deploys and folds in one fluid motion, the fastest setup and teardown we timed in this roundup, and a soft-start motor kept from tripping breakers on shared jobsite circuits. A 32-1/8-inch rip capacity handles full sheet goods with room to spare, and a cast iron tabletop damps vibration for a more consistent cut.
